How long will it take to ship my order?Orders will be processed and shipped via NZ Post within five working days of a successful purchase. You will receive an email with tracking number once your order has been processed.
-
Do you ship internationally?Yes. I ship internationally via NZ Post, so as long as your country is accepting post from NZ you can place an order. If you get an error message when trying to ship internationally please contact me for assistance. Please note that any customs duties/taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer. Please check if these will apply to your order prior to placing it so there are no surprises.
-
Do you accept returns? No, unless items are damaged upon receipt all purchases are final. Each item in my store is hand made, and is unique. Please choose carefully and look at all the photos for each item before you purchase.
-
Do your services cost anything?Yes, my services do have costs associated with them and they vary depending on the time required, any materials associated with the service, travel, and a few other things. Please get in touch using the contact form if you would like to know more about the cost of my services. Its helpful for me to know the budget you are working with, your location, and the scope of activities you are interested in so that I can provide an estimate.

How much notice do you need to provide services? It depends a bit on the service and how much preparation is required. For example, a panel discussion where I am participant will require less preparation than hosting a panel discussion, where I would need to plan the questions, and meet with each of the panellists prior to get an understanding of their access requirements and communications styles. In general, the more notice the better as it allows me to be well prepared, and for everything to go off without a hitch!

Do you run workshops for children?Yes, I work with people of all ages and am able to cater workshops to best fit the needs of my audience. When providing services to children I will usually have shorter sessions, with more breaks, and provide a bubble for the kids to escape to if they need time out. Please note: I require that there is at least a ratio of one caregiver per 2 children. This is due both to the nature of activites (eg hot water), and due to the needs of my disability, I am very noise sensitive and may need to take breaks so supervision other than myself is very important.

Do you really produce all your own work?Yes. All of my work is made by me in my Te Whanganui-A-Tara studio - even the really big stuff! Most of it is hand-dyed, and all my patterns are drafted by me. One day I may reach the limitations of what I can do alone - and at that time I will look for an assistant!
-
Do you take commissions?Yes I do accept commissions, but a very limited number as my works take a long time to produce. Due to the scale and work involved with creating my pieces prior to accepting a commission there will be a consultation period prior to both parties accepting the commission. At the end of this consultation period if the commission is accepted, a contract for the final commission will be drawn up, and both parties will have a clear understanding of expectations, including timeframe, cost, and what finished work will be, supported by drawings. Depending on what kind of work you are commissioning I may need to undertake a site visit and make a scale model as part of this consultation. Please get in touch if you would like a consultation, or would like to know more about the practical aspects of commissioning - such as cost, timeframe etc.
